Miss at idle? Help
I have a miss at idle, it does not do it all the time, more so when it is warmed up. Do not have any problems when under damand. Just when its at idle or maintating a constant speed
2002 dodge ram, 5.9 cummins, 930000 miles, 64 mm turbo, hot rod vp 44, 150 hp injectors, comp box, fass fuel system, boost 50 psi Any input will help, feel like I'm chasing my tail |
First off, please tell me added and extra zero and your truck does not have 930,000?!?!? Could be a obstruction in the lines, bad injectors, timing off
|
Yeah Added an extra zero, only has 93000. Thanks

Weeks 440,
I had a miss at idle when I replaced the injectors. I pulled them back out and replaced with the stockers and miss was gone. I picked up another set of injectors a couple of years ago from Farm Boys Diesel and put them in and did not get that miss. So I left the FBD 125's in there and unloaded the others. Did you replace your injectors lately? May need to get them pop tested if so......just a thought that may not even apply. oudive |
I did injectors about a year ago
|
What is your fuel pressure like?? Any codes?
|
bump, I'm having the same problem, anybody know? from the answers above, it sounds like the injectors are blocked/sticking?
could the vp cause that problem? |
Mine has a miss at idle, then the VP crapped out 3 weeks later. That may be the problem, it may not. Mine was hurting from the previous owner as it was
|
mine does this to. im not throwing any codes and cant get it timed anybetter then it is its perfectly in time. and im runnin 19 psi to vp44 i don't have any trouble runin tho so i never worried to much about it...:nope:
