stupid turbo clamp!
so i was driving my truck today to get the spring setup for my vgt setup good. got it to where the boost kicks in around 1300rpm and goes all the way up to 38psi. took it for a few runs and on the last one it made a funny sound and didn't boost well at all. just figured the springs came off and it wasn't returning. took it back to the shop and tore it apart to look again and the stupid vband clamp that holds the main body to the turbine housing broke! the whole stupid turbo was trying to come out the front and the only thing stopping it was the intercooler piping and the air cleaner tube :dang: and little metel shavings blown out of the housing. put it back to gether to limp home now the thing sounds like a tea kettle haha. kinda sucks but oh well don't have too much involved in that project. so what would be a good turbo to try next guys. this one kinda put a bad taste in my mouth so i dunno if i want to go that rout again lol. mods in signature. just don't want to throw money into a trubo that wont work for me.

with 150 sticks, youre in the same boat as me, too big for even a super hx40, i say phaft shaft 62 or 64 depending on your trucks purpose

i don't tow very much, just like to cruise lol. im also looking to possibly p-pump the truck in the near future. and would probably like this turbo to work in a twin setup down the road too!
