Fueling Problem?
My grandpa has a 99 cummins with 100 horse injectors from haisley machine, a programmer, and exhaust. Cool grandpa huh? Anyway, the thing will be crusing along just fine then all of a sudden you go to hit the throttle and it starts pouring white some and it seems as if you have lost all power. To me it sounds like a fueling issue but who knows. Also thought it might be the injection pump but if it was that it would do it all the time right?
Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like there isn't enough fuel available to the injection pump. What is the supply fuel pressure at the injection pump? A fuel pressure gauge is a must, and no less then 10psi should be available at the injection pump under WOT(wide open throttle).
See I've been trying to tell him this for years! He needs gauges and a lift pump! But you guys understand how stubborn old people can be. He doesn't want to spend more money than he needs to.
I had to beg him to throw exhaust on it. haha

on these vp trucks it is a very good idea to keep a close eye on the fuel pressure, like stated earlier less than 10 psi for very long and start looking for an injecion pump! what kind of programmer is on it? with 100hp injectors its probably a good idea to get a box that does boost fooling or its holding it way back! talk him into an edge juice with attitude, has all guages plus reads fuel pressure
, or a quadzilla adrenaline, has the guages too! and yeah i can understand how stubborn older people are, my dad just figured out how to play solitare on the computer because he was afraid to start it up

x2 what is the lift pump that is on it?
haha yeah the stock lift pump with those injectors is not near enough fuel! it will kill that vp quickly. i guess he will figure it out when he buys the 1k+ injection pump. sometimes it takes a little for them to learn
