Injector help

I decided to help a friend who has an 01 replace the head gasket. Everything is back together but it won't start. I have fuel in the canister but with 3 injector lines cracked there is no fuel coming out of them. I can hear the pump running after i bump the starter. The batteries are pretty much dead though. would that cause it not to pump to the injectors?

The reason for changing the head gasket is because it was leaking at the front of the block. He put some stop leak in it and it held for about a month and then he lost power and was billowing white smoke, couldn't go more than 5 MPH.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Getting any fuel to the injection pump first?

I don't know how to check that. I know the canister has pressure but that's it

Crack one of the banjo bolt on the side of the injection pump. I usually crack the return which is the one closest to the front of the truck

Thanks. I'll try it later and let you know.
