i am running royal purple and afe filters. the syn oils have made a believer out of me. there is a guy on here selling amsoil oil which is another good oil. i run rotella in my older trucks.:tu:

Hey, that's me:) I do run it. The mobil and baldwin is a good combo if you're wanting to stick with dino oil. I'm not a believer in the additives though. They can affect the additives in oils. Today's oils are good products and really don't need any "help". Just one man's opinion though.

I am going to try amsoil on my next oil change. A guy was telling me the other day he run it in his ford and it made it a few decibel quiter.. is there any truth to that??

my buddy runs amsoil in his stuff. he uses it in his trannys he rebuilds. it is good stuff. i notice the royal purple makes my engine quieter too. get in touch with health on here. he can set you up:tu:

I've never experienced the noise difference myself but have heard that from others using synthetics. Be glad to shoot you some pricing if your intersted.
