gettin a new vp
is there a difference with the SO and HO vp? i have the HO motor but i thought i herd something about the SO being better. whats the verdict? buying tomorrw

the so will flow more fuel because the pistons in the pump are bigger i think.
|
idk y but that seems kinda backwards... r they more reliable?
|
the so pump does flow more when modded, they have more hp potential than the ho pump. if you do a search im pretty sure that there is a writeup on here and if i remember correctly you can put an so pump on an ho motor but it doesn't work the other way. as for reliability i would think that they are pretty evenly matched.

not doin much modding prolly a chip and i already have 4" ex. so.....?
|
do you have the stock lift pump if you do i would look in to and aftermarket one that will help prolong the life of the vp44. and i would get a fuel pressure gauge to. it is up to you if you want the ho or so put

i have a fass 125gmp on now. removed intank pump.

Re: gettin a new vp
A SO pump is better but then you will have to sale your core because they will not accept a HO core back on a SO pump.

so you are saying to sell the Ho, sounds like a pimp move to me :lol88:
|
a HO comes on the manual transmission Cummins. You can put a HO on a truck that comes stock with the SO pump, but you cant put the SO pump on a truck with HO pump. In other words, unless u drive a manual..... just get a p pump and call it even :w2:
