i just bought a 1999 dodge 3500 cummins and as soon as they got here with it there was oil all over the front of the motor and i have no idea where its coming from it is everywhere where are the possible places it could be!!!!!!!!!!!!

derek,

Not sure if it applies, but is there a crankcase breather bottle on there? That is the first thing that comes to mind. There are several threads on the breather bottle and some good reading on oil getting gunked up in the radiator.

i would have to agree on the breather bottle on the front cover. if in case that is where it is coming from, there are many fixes to this messy problem. you wont have to buy a new radiator tho to clean it up. just take it off and lightly power wash it or soak it in something like simple green bc if not it will run hotter than before

just definitly fix that i extended the hose clear back to the rear wheel well but if its an extreme leak like mine where u have to add 2 quarts every 1000 miles i would check the front seal behind the balance if its the front seal youll see oil coming out from around it and if its like mine the fan will blow oil all over everything sorry this is so long hope it helps:c:
and:hi:
