Dropping the tank
 
Why is dropping the tank such a pain in the butt? haha i have to drop the tank to correct a few things i screwed up during my AD install haha oh well the fun begins again this weekend.

X2 on removing the box. I've done it both ways, and I'll never drop a tank again. 2 guys, 4 beers, and 35 minutes. Just like that the box is off.

ha ha yup we dropped a tank once. ive done enough i can have a chevy bed of in 15mins my dodge took me about 30min by myself

thanks for the advice guys, if i have another set of hands around the bed may be coming off lol if not it may be the tie down vesion!

i agree with everybody above. Taking the bed off is definately the way to go. You just need a couple of buddies to help you lift it off, or just slide it back enough to get at the top of the tank.

hhmmmm seems like the vote is to just take off the bed or at least slide it back a little bit, so i will investigate that option and try to round up a few extra pairs of hands!

Dropping the tank is no big deal as you don't have much fuel. I am not sure why people make such a fuss over it. In my case I have ladder racks and a topper as well as a bedliner; so removing the bed is out of the question. I helped a friend remove the bed on his truck once as he didn't want to drop the tank and I found it to be more work personally. Matter of preference I guess... :humm:
