you dont think its my vp44 or pcm do you? please say no lol

RAW 10-03-2010 10:47 AM

"No", but now I am a liar.

I'm thinking APPS at this point though.

Lilcasper888 10-03-2010 11:32 AM

alright heres the update. After waiting a little over the 30 mins i hooked up the batteries pos+ first than ground and did the reset and as soon as i pressed the pedal (truck was in drive) it sputtered and hesitated and this time i only got the p0122 and p0236 codes

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

do you think I should just get a new apps or try something else?
thanks
Casper

The overboost code that keeps coming back bothers me. In theory, if the engine sees too much boost it cuts back fuel until a "safe" level is reached. I don't suppose you have a code reader that does live value, or a way to read boost pressure off the ECM?

Lilcasper888 10-03-2010 11:43 AM

no the code reader i have is actron cp9175 kinda basic, im going to unplug the edge comp and see if that might help. i'll be right back

RAW 10-03-2010 11:45 AM

Not a bad idea there, the comp does have a boost fooler plug in. Could be an issue there.

Lilcasper888 10-03-2010 11:56 AM

alright i unplugged it went to clear the codes and got a new code(truck hasn't been started yet) p0237 and still p0122 and p0236 cleared those but could not clear p0237(truck still has not been started) it just keep saying new code p0237 i would clear and it would return. So now i start the truck in neutral i press the pedal and it acts just like it should, than in drive it seems slow and wont go over 1000 rpm but didn't seem to stutter any just slow rpm climb

RAW 10-03-2010 12:00 PM

I assume you didn't just unplug the MAP, but connect it back the factory way?

P0237 is a MAP sensor issue as well.

Lilcasper888 10-03-2010 12:04 PM

no im an idiot i didnt think that far ahead let me go try that again
