Default lift pump and filter

i am about to pull my stock lift pump out of there to sell to a kid at school. my question is while i'm in there can i pull the stock fuel filter? when i put in the airdog i went from the airdog straight to the vp 44 and don't plan on going back to stock pump either. will it set off any sensors or anything if i pull those two out? any advice or maybe pics!?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

any one out there have an opinion ? i already pulled them but want to know if everything is going to still work fine. will pulling the stock lift pump and stock filter out make anything work wrong, or set off any sensors? will my block heater still work right? we do have some decently cold winters around here...

Everything will work right. The only issue you may have is that it may set your water in fuel (WIF) sensor. But you should be able to fix that with a resistor.

Without the fuel filter housing, you will lose the fuel heater but you will be ok. Your airdog should have provisions for a fuel heater.

Your block heater has absolutely nothing to do with this.

are they a 2 wire sensor like the 12Vs?
if yes cut the plug off if the light comes on then butt connect the wires together it either needs a open or a closed circuit

I believe the wif works on conductivity. So it needs to see an open circuit to be in the normal condition. When it detects water in the fuel (between the twp sensors) it conducts through the water and turns the light on.

ya your right dr. evil. i drove to town tonight and back so almost a hundred miles all said and done and everything is running right. no light came on or anything like that and all i did was unplug the wires and wrap them up with some others so they don't flop around and get messed up. i'll prolly tape them off tomoro to make sure no moisture gets to them to be on the safe side. tomorrow my cab lights go on!!. i'll try to take some pics and do a little write up on it since it seems that no one else has for a 2nd gen
