Think TPS Finally Died
Well last couple days my truck has been hunting for shift points at 40-45 mph under light acceleration. I have reset the voltage on the tps twice before and now this time I can turn it as far forward as possible and only get about .38 and looking for .559. Any other possible ideas? I'm going to check it over again today but I'm thinking a New TPS will be my only option
Truck now drives fine but I still have a code of p0237 (Map Sensor Voltage to Low) Something doesn't make sense here. So could a bad map sensor make all this happen. That's what I'm leaning towards now
$200
I can get one for under a $100. You know I was thinking, why couldn't I get enough voltage out of the apps. I did nothing yesterday to change that but I am going to recheck it today, and if I can't get enough adjustment I'm going to drill out the holes a bit so I can get a little more rotation for adjustment. If it's still on I'm going to change the map sensor and see what happens
Thanks for your input

Jazz,
I took a look at th link that was provided, and that apps looks like the Timbo apps. Man has the price gone up on those, I wonder if timbo still has the original set price? I think I picked my MAP sensor up for like 75 bones. From what I have heard and my personal experinece, one you adjust the apps, you have to check it again, cause it will need adjusting again. Once I installed the timbo apps, it has been nice and smooth..

Yeah, wasn't the Timbo APPS like $160 shipped to your door. My apps is staying right where it should be for now and the truck is running great but I still have the code of whatever # it was. Map sensor low voltage. Maybe I should go ahead and try the timbo and a new map sensor. Not a ton of money but, it seems to be running good the way it is
I really don't like having codes though

Jazz,
You may have already done it, but have you cleared the code to see if it comes back? Because I think the vehicle must cycle so many times before it will clear the code on its own. I think I got this code once too after I finished my connection of my Edge Juice w/Attitude. And of course my apps was like jacked too. Tough decision and I know I do not like throwing money at parts to try and fix one thing. Maybe there is a way to hook up a scanner and see the MAP to determine fault. Just throwing some stuff out there.
