Darn so filter wouldent make a difference? oh and I been reading about "*****'s Whistler intake" would that make it louder??

 

Go filter-less, that will be as loud as it gets! Haha!! The filter and air act as noise insulators as well. A less restrictive filter may let more noise out.

 

I dunno if a BHAF would make it louder. Mine whistled purty loud.

 

Whats BHAF? .... you can here my turbo in the glovebox but idk if people can here it on the outside IMO i think you hear all exhaust

My 99 sings pretty loud.. Can hear it echo off houses.. Took ring out and put BHAF with outer wear on it is all I did for that part.

 

Im just wondering what is BHAF ???

The 98.5 has the same setup but its SO loud in the cab it's almost annoying..
It's a auto .. Don't know if that makes a difference but keeping a convo you really have to speak up with a load.

 

my '01 is loud in the cab, hard to hear on the phone goinn down the highway. and everybody tells me its very loud outside the truck, my cousin has a powerstroke straightpiped under the cab and goin down the highway side by side he said he cant even hear his truck over my turbo, it wasnt that loud untill the quad adr. but my intake is just a cheap cone filter put on the stock tube with a pipe to clamp down on.
