need some help with a truck not starting

Ok today is the first day I've driven my truck in awhile but several times its done this today. Ok here's the symptoms my edge monitor will ready 20+ psi and it won't start but earlier when it would read around 4psi it would start now my odds are better playin the lottery than this truck startin when I need it.

What is wrong I'm thinking lift pump but when its runnin I'm seeing 20 psi at idle and around 14-15 wot. Would yall still say lift pump?

I'm not thinking the LP at this time, not yet at least. The VP44 engines will have hard starting with too much fuel pressure. It is possible that the overflow valve in the VP44 itself isn't allowing fuel to bleed off.
You could try just going straight from off, to start. Don't wait for the wait to start light or anything. Don't allow the LP to build pressure.

Ok I Finally got back and drove the truck today and it did it again and I tried going straight from off to start and it didn't work. But when I left the key on without starting for a minute or so it cranked right up.

So what can yall tell me what someone thinks it might be.

The lilt pump only runs for a second or two, which may be long enough to pressurize the system. After sitting for a minute the pressure can blead off. Could be the pressure blead off valve located in the fuel return banjo bolt on the VP44. Not an expensive fix, and in my opinion should be part of a scheduled maintanace.

what kind of lift pump are you running. ive seen two airtex lift pump do this in the past two weeks. put a carter lift pump back on it, and both have worked great so far.

I think mine is a airtex can't member right off hand I just remember that it is a horizontal pump.

the return banjo is on the side of the vp. its one of the bolts with a fuel line attached...there are two located right beside each other. one is to and one is from. and you can get a bajno from just about any performance place and the sponsors can hook you up with one. its a cheap part.
