If only that was the situation. I too suffer from the 1/4 tank issue, and have been debating the same thing. As the previous owner of my truck allowed Dodge to put the fuel pump in the tank, a simple Vulcan Draw Straw kit is not all I need. I have debated on a sump, looks like it should do a damn good job and there are positive reviews for them as well. I could get a new sender as well, one without a fuel pump and throw a Vulcan at it. The last thing I thought of is using the pump in the tank to feed my FASS, and reroute the hoses from the draw straw to the fuel sender unit. Need to make the decision and repair soon, not being able to utilize the full tanks capacity is a **** off. Also the occasional starving of my FASS, and VP really rubs me the wrong way.

Dnt get me wrong, I love the looks of the sump setup and it works but how it just hangs the pickup and fuel line below the truck doesn't sit right with me. Offroad or even road debris could screw it up ( yes I kno rare situations ) but stranger things have happened...

I remember seeing a write up on here where they put a fitting on the end of the tank at the bottom and ran a piece of hose inside the tank halfway back so the end of it was in the center of the tank just laying on the bottom. I cant remember the title of the thread but I do remember the poster said they had no problems with it, kinda a gamble though I would think

If you have the intake pump then you need the Draw Straw V.
