Thanks for all the help. I did get lucky and i was close to home when it happened now all i have to do is find some money to buy a new pump. Should i continue to run the edge with a new pump since i have to tap in to the injection pump wires, or run it stock until i can get a smarty.

You can still run your edge with your new pump, I would suggest getting a stealth cover for it though to avoid any warrenty issues.

the stealth cover is still a "tap" and a shop could take it apart and see the indentation on the solder and know it was tapped. I recommend running it for 2-3 months w/o a tap as any problems are likely to show on the first month of operation. Then doing a good connection with a posi-tap for $5 or less or the stealth cover.
the stealth cover may have worked some with dealers, but a picky shop could void the warranty and would be within their rights to do so. |
