on my 1st gen it was the amount of turns on the steering wheel i had to use to get it to turn one way or the other :scare2:

Well I don't have an answer but I do have some problems too when I am driving sometimes i have the steering wheel almost turn half way to keep it going straight and some other times it takes another half turn more than normal to make the turn are this any of the symptoms of this? A friend told me that it probably was the steering shaft , I was thinking it was the suspension . Any clues?

the steering box can be adjusted to be tighter

can you actually adjust the tightness of the box? alot of people say you can do that but the starwheel i know of uses just adjusts the preload on the bearings and causes the box to go bad faster.
