Need some information

hey guys i gota 01 cummins and i recently figured out it has a banks powerpack system with the ottomind tunner. Now my question is can i mess with the ottomind at all or is it like a module? The truck didnt come with a programmer or anything and the banks website isnt to helpful. Can i stack another chip/programmer on top of the ottomind or am i stuck with what i got? any help is appreciated. :U:

ok if im not mistaken the tuner you have is hard installed under the hood if so you can stack one that programs the the obd2 port under the dash. or if you dont really wanna stack it and it is hard wired under the hood its not hard to unhook everything and go back to stock or add a difrent one.

well actually its under the dash but is there an obd2 port under the hood? or what would it be connected to under the hood?

There is a OBD2 port in the cab at the bottom of the dash, not under the hood though.

From some quick research, it sounds like you need a PDA to communicate with this programmer. I am guessing it may tie into the CAN (Controller Area Network) under the hood, a flat 3 pin weather pack connector. I believe it is between the block and brake pot against the fire wall. It may also "tap" the VP44 wire, t into MAP sensor, trans temp, pyro, and other sensors. If you really want to know, trace the wires from the controller and see where they go.
