Down pipe bolt?

Does anyone have problems with these backing out? The 99 is currently on it's fourth bolt and the 02 just lost one as well. They are being torques to spec so I don't understand why we keep losing them. Anyone have any ideas on why or how to keep them on?

Take the bolt to a machine shop and have them put a small hole across the head of the bolt to wire tie it, or find a bolt designed for wire locks :)

mine were rusted solid on mine, so i never had a problem with them backing out. like mentioned, might put a dab of locktite on them :tu:

locktite or . do you have a locking washer on it already? if not get one, that should fix your problem

To get a bolt out using red loctite, you use heat. Loctite would be like lube when subjected to heat :)
