Need help just blew radiator can some1 send me some directions on how to replace?!?
I have a 1998.4 24v and I just walked outside and there is coolant fluid all over the drive way and it looks like I have a small leak in the bottom corner on driver side.:argh: I need to see if anyone can send me some directions on how to pull the old one and put a new one in. Any one suggestions on should I put a stock one back in or aftermarket? Truck is pretty much all stock but looking to beef up in couple of months. Any1 know where I can get a good one at a good price? HELP PLEASE!!!:scare2:

Any auto parts place should have a replacement hose as well as new hose clamps. Very easy to replace, just remove the old hose clamps, pry the old hose off with a flat screwdriver and install new one. You will probably lose the rest of your coolant from the radiator, so you will need more of that as well. Just make sure it's the hose that is leaking and not the radiator itself... :s:
Might want to make sure you don't have a #53 block... |
Just got back inside and it is the radiator.....:scare2:

Remove the cans on each side of the shroud, then remove the shroud as you remove the fan..... clutch and bracket that attaches to the block all as a single unit. One bolt on the block to fan bracket is a pain to get to with the wrench, but the others aren't bad.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Any way I can get the old junk radiator from you? I'm thinking about trying something with one, and would rather use a junker for mock up. |
