1998.5 Having TPS problems I think can anyone help?!?

So last week I bought a 1998.5 24va 4x4 5 speed, pretty much all stock well for now, so I was driving to work today and it seems like it has a miss at a steady speed then the check engine light comes on so I have it tested at a local parts store and these three codes poped up P0122, P1693 and P0234. The strange thing is when I left the light was on and about 10 miles or so later it went off and it's been running fine now. I don't know much about it yet but any info or help in the right direction would help!
Thanks guys!:scare2:

Try an APPS adjustment as described in this thread:
https://www.dieselbombers.com/5-9l-2...s-i-bored.html

The p0122 is an APPS code (accelerator pedal position sensor). When mine threw that code I followed the procedure and it fixed it.

The P0234 is an overboost code. What kind of boost are you running? Get some gauges if you don't have any yet. Pyrometer, boost, and the most important...fuel pressure.

The p1693 is a code just to tell you that there is a code detected. AKA a companion code. nothing to worry about.
