vp44? apps? comp box? dead pedal? please help
I dont know how to set up my sig so. My truck has 125hp injector nozzles edge comp w/out hot unlock. And a 100gph fuel pump. Its a carter or somthing. I'm having dead pedal but when the truck warms up it will go ahead and go but lately it doesnt have as much go. Is my chip defueling? what does it sound like to you guys? I'm trying to get a hold of another programer to check codes. In neutral it blows white smoke with the dead pedal, and sounds a little choppy like its breaking up a little.I have a egt, boost and trans temp gauges. When experiencing the dead pedal my egt's are the same as if it didnt have dead pedal, around 800 just gettin on it a little. I'm LOST so any help would be appreciated, ask all the questions you want and i'll try to answer to my best of knowledge. :argh:

hows the fuel pressure? have you changed the fuel filter lately?
|
Sounds like the vp44 may be toast:argh::ouch:, but like Whit said need to know what ya fuel pressure is.
|
sounds like a fuel filter issue and toasted VP, possibly LP too
|
Fuel pressure and OBD codes if any start there and report back.

whats the easiest way to check fuel pressure without a gauge? Can you use a tire gauge somewhere? new filter. thanks keep em coming

:humm:Theres really no other way to check it with out a fuel pressure gauge that I know of. Maybe someone else will chime to help with the matter. But either way man ya deffinitly need a fuel pressure gauge hell while ya at it get the egt and boost guages too. Then get an airdog or fass system so ya dont have to worry about the pressure issue and then ya know your vp44 is gonna be happy. Hope ya get it figured out

I have personally witnessed several OEM pumps out out good pressure at adle but when you get on em with fuel demand they fall on there face , its the spill back or pump around that does that on the OEM crappers |
I gueess what I am saying is to get the gage up to yer windshield and tape it down so ya can take the truck for a spin
