VP44 Rebuild Kit

This has got to be a scam but just in case I'll post it to see if somebody else knows somethin I don't. It's a complete kit to rebuild your VP44 injector pump but it comes"without instructions", that's convenient. As far as I've ever known it takes damn near a million dollars worth of equipment and test benches to rebuild one of these pumps.

I've never heard of "association of diesel specialists" before either...

"Reseal" kit perhaps, but definitely not a rebuild kit. :humm:

I woulda thought such an item would be a Bosche exclusive product..............never seen this before

As Dennis says its a million bucks of equipment to do VP-44's

I wonder how well it'd work........ Our "Old" pump only lasted 40k miles...... And it ALWAYS had plenty of pressure feeding it. :argh:

I looked into this sort of thing a while back. From the info I could find it's pretty much seals and a few common pieces that fail. And they supposedly aren't allowed to give instructions for some reason. I've heard a success story but I think only one.

Looking at the pictures from their listing, they have a million dollars worth of equipment in some of the back ground photos. I went to a shop that has a special machine from Bosch and got a low down on all about the IP as I was picking me up one. I am not sure I would venture down that road with my luck, I would mess it up and then they would not want my core:nope:

Most of the time its the electronics that fail.

the brass keys inside of them breaks a lot from heat warpage over time, diaphrams rupturing happens a lot too. an if youre really, the shaft bearings lock up and go boom.
