4WD binding

Just wondering if you guys trucks front ends bind when in four wheel drive. I can hardly make one revolution of the steering wheel before I start getting a bump in the steering. It feels like the u joints are binding. On my old 94 1/2 ton I could almost go lock to lock in four wheel drive. Thanks for any input.

Surely I am not the only one.

The driveline is binding. This is normal in 4WD and why your only supposed to use it in slippery conditions. This allows for the wheels to slide and give to the binding. All is normal here.

I think your U joints are bad do they pop and crack. And have you checked your ball joints lately.

You said like they lock up or the wheel just jerks because if it just jerks thats normal.

You are not supposed to put it into 4wd on dry pavement. It will cause the wheel to jerk and is very hard on the driveline. Now after saying that, I have known someone to drive 200+ miles with her jeep in 4wd without knowing it.....
