Type F in my transmission

I have ran type F trani fluid in just about everything I've ever owned. Any reason why I shouldn't, or can't run it in my trani now?:humm:

Thank you
Billy D

Im not sure I always used what was recommended by the mfg. But here is a link that I found dont know if it will help you out or not but does have some info about trans fluids but no resons why or why not to use one or the other.Automatic Transmission Fluid

dodge and all mopar product are supposed to run atf+, i am not going to say that is what you have to run but i will say i have had two mopar products (both at the same time and both were gas burners) and tranny shop told me my issues were for running wrong fluid. If that was true it would have been alot cheaper to run the high dallar atf+ over repair shop bill. I am not claiming to know much about this topic, just telling you what happened to me.

Mopar went to a new type clutch material in all the transmissions at some point in the mid 90s. It's OK in up to the A518 or 1st Gen slushboxes, but no later. You will definitely burn it up if you put typeF in a newer transmission. ATF+ Chrysler 7176E spec) is specifically formulated with the correct friction modifiers needed for the new clutch material.

They won't get away with it for long if they tow heavy.

Fluid confusion is the #1 reason for Dodge truck tranny's bad reputation.
