fuel filter canister removal

i'm looking to remove the fuel filter canister.i just bypassed it installing the airdog set-up.i'm wondering about the fuel heater.do i just pull the fuse's,relay's or whatever.i just don't want to pull any fuses that might be needed for anything else.i'm going to keep doing some research, but any input would be great.thanks guy's

Not sure where you live, but I kept my fuel canister in the fuel system for another filter, plus being in Alberta, Canada, heating the fuel helps.

I pulled my canister for a few years, big mistake. I'm lucky I kept it cause it's back on the truck now. You lose your fuel heater and the Water if Fuel warning light. Not good things to be without no matter where you live.

I dont run the stock canister any longer. I have confidence in my water separator thats mounted by the tank and it doesnt get too awful cold here anyway. I just unplugged the heater and water sensors and put new shorter bolts in place on the intake. Works like a charm, opens up quite a bit of room under the hood.

i first installed my airdog with the stock filter canister in place.my fuel pressure was to low (8lbs idle,3lbs light throttle)with the extra filter.once removed the pressure stay's at 15lbs and drop's to about 12lbs at wot.

i wanted to add that ,i just ended up pulling the relay for the fuel heater.it doesn't cause any dumby light's on the dash board or to run any different.later on when the snow clear's,i'll pull the canister for good.
it might be just me,but truck seem's smoother and a tad bit quieter with the airdog
