some people just get their feelings hurt when you have a different opinion than they do. I agree $100 is the best place to start so you are able to rule out whats good and whats bad.

 

the upside to cleaning them at home is getting hands on experience removing and installing injectors, sounds good to me. and if that doesn't make any difference go to the shop.

 

I meant for him to remove them and send them to someone to have them checked.

 

I wasnt trying to bash any one or be disrespectful even know it did sound like it but he was just having bad fuel milege it just seemed that cleaning the injectors and not spending any money so the best rout and i told him that if that didnt work that he then would need to start having stuff tested sorry for stepping on your toes smokem

 

while the injectors are out it's a good time to send them in and have them properly checked they could be wore out or have some problems.

 

Thats what I am gonna do after the holidays, is just pull them out. Have them pop tested and whatever else they do. Put the buggers back in a see what happens.

 

Good plan. I need to do that to mine as well. I just need to put my stock injectors back in in the mean time.

I just called GCL In Calgary (where I am at this moment) and to test all 6 (clean, Pop test, check spray pattern, check for leakage, take a few apart and do internal inspection, and they will adjust each one to match if necessary) for .5 hr labor. Shop rate is 116.00 per hour.
I can't remember if I am allowed to put these prices on here, but it is to demonstrate that to get them tested is worth the money.

 

Can anyone tell me what actually happens to an injector , does it open and not let the pump pressure or what ??
