well you start with the intake horn and apps housing then injection lines then the 4 bolts that hold the VP on and then you will need a steering wheel puller or hormonic balencer one bec. you have to take the nut off the front of the vp and use the puller to us on the gear that there if you have all the sockets and wrenches will take about 30 40 mins. then the injectors you just remove the valve cover slide to the passnger sid and then fowerd and the you take the 1 screw on each of the plates that hold the injectors down and salide that plate off. then take one of the short intake horn bolts and screw into the top of the injector and use a pair of curved needle nose pliyers to pry each one out that takes about 30 mins roughly. now puttin it all back together is not tobad for the injectors but the pump you mush take your time. when it comes to that point i will get ya my number and i will talk ya threw it in all take out and install back in your lookin about 4 hours

Best way to start with the injectors is to pull them and take em to a shop to be cleaned, pop tested and adjusted. They sonic clean them and once they are done they will be back to new specs. You can also pull your VP if your worried about it and they will bench test it and tell you anything that might be a problem with it.

Go here to find the closest Authorized shop to do these things. Finding a Service Center

I feel sorry for you, first off do not waste your time soaking the injectors in diesel fuel, have fun getting the VP44 off if you only remove 4-bolts, and sonic cleaning nozzles won't fix your problem. The best advice you will receive; have the injectors tested, it will cost ~ $100, if they are the problem great, if not, feel free to go crazy and do whatever you wish.

I think you either misread what I wrote or just misquoted it cause you missed just a little bit of it. I said more then just a sonic cleaning was needed here.

I read what you wrote correctly, I'm just stating that sonic cleaning doesn't do much, many don't even bother with it. There is only so much we can do with a used nozzle, they are a wear item, sometimes I think people forget that.

AND AS FOR THE VP TAKING IT OFF I DIDNT GO INTO DETAIL WITH THE GENTALMAN ABOUT ALL THE PROCEDURES TO GETTING WHAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF BEC. THERE ARE TO MANY THATS WHY I SAID TO GIVE ME A CALL WHEN IT COMES TO THAT POINT. Also i never said to soak them in diesel that would be pointless actually i dont think i said to soak them into anything spicific but When i was a diesel mechanic in the military we did soak our injectors in any typ of injector cleaner to help break up the nasty that was stuck to it and might be on the inside and it worked well many of times. but instead of going and spend a bunch of money witch he said he rather not do i figured a good cleaning at home would do fine to try and narrow stuff down. I Thing that some times the sponsors and others on this site forget that some might not have the money to just go out and spend at the diesel shop I know i dont and some of the lil things like soaking the injectors have save me alot of time and money and not to mention the 2 hour drive the closet shop that will touch a diesel. I hope this dont **** no one off but just speaking my mind sorry to jack the thread and go off topic

Not likely, again this very well could be a waste of money, since you are so concerned about me not having a concept of budget friendly advice. $100 is cheap insurance to know what is going on with the nozzles. The topic of changing to a P7100 came up, is that not an expensive option? Second day since my username was switched to blue and I am already getting these comments?
