I have a 2002 dodge 2002 ram 2500 that has had a tps put in a year ago and solved the problem. It just got cold and all of a sudden i have a problem again. check engine light came on and it was a tps again. So i just replaced it this after noon and i have the sae problem. Or should say the problem is not solved. I need to plow tomorrow night and i got nothing to go on. I hit the throttle and i get a second or two of throttle then nothing no matter how hard i press down. somtimes it does rev then leting off it reves on its own for a second or so. please help :scare2

Thats wierd man maybe a VP problem not sure
Hows your fuel pressure whats the exhaust looking like smokin or anything the 02 2500s have the APPS dont they if it has the apps maybe it needs adjustment.Check for fuel leaks check all fuses just throwing some ideas out hope it helps |
now when idleing this a ever so often miss
|
ok thats most likly a leaky or bad injector i just like 36 hours ago put new injectors in bec. of a miss and slight popping sound outta of the exhaust and the engine rpms will drop like just a tad when it does it does this sound like whats happening on yours
|
it never used to miss at all. now all of a sudden its doing it at idle
|
yea myn started about 2 months ago and it only did it like once every couple of minutes then like 3-4 weeks ago i wallked away from my truck and it just shut off so i ended up replacing a vp44 and upgrad lift pump then spent 2 days trying to get it to run come to find out i had a bad fuse in the engine comp. fuse box the fuel one swapped it with the wiper motor relay and it fired right up well went for a drive or two got it all warmed up came home and the popping/miss what ever youwant to call it was still around so a coupple days went by and it got to were it was doing it constently when warm and in park idleing so i replaced the injectors and drove bout 200 miles taday and it aint done it since

Is it a possible shot that i have ground issues
|
well see yes but i dont know about the ground issues dealing with the apps or tps problem im not sure on that its possible have you been having any problems with the trans or torq converter locking and un locking if you had a ground prob. i would think that you would have problems with the trans to but im not sure anythings possible tho just try the easy stuff first befor going and trying to buy a bunch of stuff i will ask around
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Hey what code were you getting exactly do you know. I am still puzzled does any one eles out there have any ideas this man needs to be rollin again soon and i aint no cummins mechanic |

I just have to tell everyone thanks for giving me your advice. You might be kind of suprised. Low voltage at tps code and also a MAP sensor to high to long code. After all the bull shit I went through it ended up being some real mechanic work tracing wires everywhere with a volt meter. BAD ECM. fixed All my problems.
