NCFPD 12-05-2009 09:50 PM

i cant think of that other sensor just be careful with them you might wanna try pullin the injectors and cleaning them by hand and then run some injector cleaner and when you fill the tank up throw a quart of 2 stroke oil in it 1 ounce per gal. of diesel

01cummins13 12-05-2009 09:56 PM

MAP and IAT sensors..... and i found write ups on how to clean them. How would i go about cleaning the injectors by hand as far as what to use and all?

NCFPD 12-05-2009 10:39 PM

these that i just put in i went and bought some of that KLEEN diesel brand cetane injector cleaner stuff that you get at walmart i poured it in my tank and the the extra i took and put in a cup and soaked te injector then took like an sos pad or somthing with some abrasive and went at the tips after they soaked and now the truck runs beautifuly

01cummins13 12-05-2009 11:35 PM

ok i always have a bottle of that stuff. How long did you let them soak? Hopefully all of this helps me out and my mileage increases!

NCFPD 12-05-2009 11:40 PM

about 30 min or lil less just enough to get them soake the tils that is and get inside the wholes ya know and do a little scum breakin up if you want just try to run that and the oil threw the tank first if ya want to befor you take the injectors out what ever you want to do hell it will only take about an hour an half or so to pull the injectors clean them and put them back in

01cummins13 12-06-2009 12:19 AM

ive run that stuff through on a pretty regular basis. ill have to try the oil as well before i dive in to removing the injectors and cleaning them. Also im going to clean my sensors as well before the injectors. Are the any special tools needed for injector removal or installation?
