1 oz to 1 gal a good rule of thumb. been running 2 stroke for a year and half, also the 2-stroke needs to be tcw-3 ashless

I'm going 1oz to 1gl right now. I read some lubricity break down data from moparman and you need to make sure it's wtc3 rated so it's ashless. Wallymart has a gallon of the stuff for just over 10-bucks. So far, it's been running well.

As for cold starting, at what temperature is a snowmobile expected to run? Should not make a big difference over regular gel levels.

Have you been on the same VP for 5-years now? This is the reason I'm running it until I bank enought for the P-Pump conversion..... I"m tired of replacing these things.

I'm up to 4 years and 70K miles and no issues... Average MPG is 21-22 and maxed out at 25.3 MPG running 128:1 ratio. My injection pump has 108K miles and shows no sign of giving up yet...

Mopar1973Man has a really good site - and through that site I learned and began using 2 stroke oil. It really works. He is very knowledgeable and I am happy that he is a member here. He is like most people here- he is here to help others to make their trucks better. Thank you !

Do you run the 2-stroke oil in conjuction with the normal types of fuel addives sold for diesels (the names leave my mind for now, but I think it is cetane boost). Or do you just run it by itself. I have a mechanical IP and am thinking of switching to keep it lubricated better. I am sure the other name brand stuff works, but does it do the same thing? Should I switch? Thanks.

NEVER mix any fuel additives...

I've haven't touch any kind of injection cleaner, cetane booster or anti-gel in over 70K miles (4 years) now. Been a steady diet of 2 cycle oil only...

Good to know. I will start this in my next tank of fuel. I was also reading about this on a gas site (LS1.com, I think) and they say the benefits of 2 cycle oil in gas vehicles is also great. They use it in a 1 oz per 5 gal mix instead of 1 oz per 1 gal. It seems to be a good, alaround thing. Thanks for all the great info.

In the last issue of diesel power mag they said they gained 1mpg with I belive was an ounce per gallon ratio (on a 24v test truck). I've been using the wallmart supertec brand myself and its been working great. I would advise against marvels oil or atf since its red and not "approved" for street use.
