questions about fuel filter canister?
 
hello today i been driving and i noticed that my fuel canister was leaking. where it is leaking is on top. there are to bolts on the top and then their is a plug with wires coming out of it. the plug with wires connected is where it is leaking it is leaking around the seal of it if someone could tell me what to do or how to fix it i would appreciate it.

yes it is a 24 valve.

that is the fuel heater.......................get a new o-ring for it, lube it up when ya install and it will be fine

Hard to tell from your description. Have you ran bio ? Bio is hard on the rubber parts.

I would suspect its the sealing washers on the banjo bolts. They are a special metal washer with rubber on them.

Edit - sounds like its leaking from the water in fuel sensor. I would remove it clean the threads and cannister good and goop it up with some Number 2 Permatex, then reinstall. Keep as much Permatex out of the filter canister as possible.

yeah that told me everything but the only spot it is leaking is at the fuel sensor so just need knew o ring what kind of o ring.

The black plug with the two wires is where it is leaking. How do you take this out?
