quad adr w/pulse

so i ordered my quad adr w/ pulse. now my only question is with adding that much power, i stil have my stock clutch so what do you guys think would be the highest setting i could go without smokin the clutch. I dont haul anything or race, just cruise its my daily driver and the clutch is in relatively good shape so far. any other tips you guys have would also be great thanks

:humm: Temptation. You could in all reality run any tune. It just depends on hard your gonna run that tune. Just load up a 2000 tune and 3000 tune and see what you like. You can run any setting. Any of them could be ran on a daily basis. You just have to remember you are on a stock clutch. Just have some fun and save for a clutch:w2:

Try not to do too much wide open throttle in your top 2 gears or lug the truck.

and turn the thing down in the hills with a stock clutch. My rule of thumb is if i can smell the clutch roasting, then im over the safety line and shouldnt go near it again. But yeah, enjoy it while saving for a stronger clutch.

The only time my stock clutch would slip was in 3rd gear at WOT running the COMP tune all the way up. Have fun with it but know where to draw the line like duke said :U:

Speaking from experience..... if i run all the gears out, i can run any tune full out, but if i try to pull off an idle in 3, 4, or 5, it will slip the clutch as soon as the turbo starts to spool... on any level above about 5 (of 10)

did you get rid of that smarty?

Captn_tyler 10-23-2009 04:33 PM

Say bye bye to that clutch :tttt: If you get on it and have fun, its gone. Been there done that.

Ive got 96000 on the origional clutch, and the last 20 have been with the adrenaline... its done its share of slipping when im being hard on it, but its still holding up ok

On the 1000 tunes i made 5000 miles after the adrenaline went on. I took out the old clutch out, after bearly making it to the shop, and the disc was frayed and almost sheard off.
