Clicking in front end in 4X4...

I've noticed when I'm in 4x4 and I'm turning, either way, there is a clicking coming from there front end. I recently did my upper and lower ball joints and didn't think the u-joints looked like they needed to be replaced on the front axle. The driveline u-joints seem okay too. Any ideas?

If this is a limited slip differential you may be gettin ready to find out why I don't run one.

Sounds like either ujoints or wheel bearings.

Wheel bearing was okay when I took it off and I rereased them. thought the u-joints were okay too. I guess I'll do some more investigating.

Jack up the front of the truck, turn the wheel all the way to one side, then turn the tire while watching the ujoints. Do this on both sides. Look for rust around the caps.
Or just change the joints seeing that they are 11 years old.

Yeah I'll have to jack it up. Maybe i'll just take it into les schwab and have them check it free. I just though maybe it was going to be something really common and someone would know exactly what it was. It has spicer u-joints so I'm thinking they have been replaced, unless they come stock with Spicer u-joints.

my guess would be the u joints in the axles. good luck
