exhaust questions
 

i'm having my friend re-do my exhaust, he will be replacing the muffler with a straight pipe section. should i leave the resonator in or take it out? will there be any gains? i'm not to worried about how loud it's gonna be because the cops around here don't really bother. i'm sure this has been covered before but i'm kinda in a rush today so i didn't search yet. my truck is an '01 24 valve as you already know. thanks i'm on my way out

take it out get lower egts and more hp and it will sound like a big rig

cool i didn't want to spend $300+ dollars and shipping to hawaii for an exhaust. eventually i will buy one, but this should do for now. i'm on my way now. gonna change out the whole piping from the resonator to the bend before the rear axle. thanks

You could just buy a Down Pipe and over axle pipe and buy some 4" pipe locally!
