Threads on Gear Shifter

I used to know this - what are the threads on the shifter?

14mm X 1.25??

Looking for a new shifter....what are you guys using instead of the stock shift ball? (yes, I know real men have automatic trannys...)

know real trucks have stick shift.
what do you mean by stock shift ball were you hand goes. there are a lot of aftermarket ones out there

i have run the same hurst T handle in the last 3 trucks. i love it. just wish it wouldn't get so cold in the winter time. looks funny wearing one glove till it warms up. summer time can get pretty hot, but usually cools down pretty quick. my brother had a leather one, and that was sweet, very comfy, BUT it did tend to get a little "sticky" with the heat. not sure if it was shot, or an "economic" model. AND............auto's are for old men, with bad knees:tttt:

Yeah, I want to stay with plastic - much too cold in the winter....

I wonder what Hurst has??

Any idea on the threads?

I can't remember the pitch, but I do know that my 5spd has 10mm threads.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was talking about the 6 speed shifter.

the hurst i have now is very universal. i got it at the local auto zone, i has all the diff. threads, and nuts to go on. i never have a problem with it sliping or anything like that
