I just replaced the driver side rotor, had the other one turned, new pads. I will investigate that possibility further. Thanks for the help.:U:

I know on mine in the winter when the grid heaters are cookin, the relay(s) will make a knock or thunk sound when they kick off. Might try unhooking the wires that close those relays and see if the noise goes away. I think the fender amplifies the sound a bit too.

The noise, so I was told yesterday, is the ABS pump. When I put my brake pads on, the caliper got flipped and twisted the hose. Guess I should pay more attention next time.. The pump had to equalize the pressure and that was the noise. Hope it isn't messed up and going out or something. Just letting you guys know :U: .. Also found two bad ball joints and a weak u-joint. Just something else to do this weekend!!

Sorry guy, I just saw this and hadn't had a chance to try to assist.

I was going to suggest exactly that. The ABS system will sometimes do that even on a vehicle that is working properly.

But if there's a backpressure (crimps and such) in the system, then it's definately going to happen.

Glad you found it. Shouldn't have damaged anything else in the process. Correct the issue and you should be good as new:)

But don't be surprised if you occasionally hear it again and the system is "booting up" in a sense.

It still makes it every time i turn it on and the brakes still aren't working properly. They kind of lock up for lack of better term. Any suggestions on that? Thanks.

So is it possible that my ABS light and brake light are on thanks to a crushed hose? I would be curious for an opinion. thanks

Have you gone back though the system and corrected the crimping issue, bled the system and checked the ABS pump?

I'll check with a buddy of mine today whose is a brake guy and see if he has any suggestions.

Went thru the system over the weekend, no crimps, bled it all. I replaced a front u-joint that didn't want to say goodbye to its home... Seems to be getting better, but still acts up, especially when it's first started. The first few times you try to stop its that way, but when its been running for a while, it seems fine. Thanks. I' ll bleed the system again tonight and see if helps any more.
