Default missing piece on turbo

So my wife tookm my truck to the an emissions test done on it and apparently a clasp on my turbo is missing. the guy told her that it could get fixed for about 90 dollars. I am currently in Iraq, and I have never worked ont his truck before. All my work has been on my 81 toyota. Anyways wanted to know if Its an easy fix for me when i get home (2 months ) or if it is worth it to pay the 90 dollars and have it get fixed. If I can do it then i want to do it and learn but if it is gonna take a long time, whcih i dont think it will I will just take it in. Anyways thanks for ant input and my wife doesnt ever really drive it and starts it up and takes it around the block once a week.

Danny

Wish I could help but from the part description it could be about anything but nothin in particular is ringin any bells with it. Did the part prevent the truck from getting or passing the emissions testing.

yeah i can't really say what it is from that description. However if she's just driving it around the block and it's getting oil and not making any horrible sounds, it should be fine.

It passed the test but she said it barely passed. The guy tolde her that it made it to 100HP!!!! I guess it s the last clamp on the turbo and its letting most of the air out.

Clamp on the boost side im wondering ? Maybe exhaust clamp....Which maybe if you do it yourself $90.00 sounds high but it's really not high considering what we would go through to get it on! Make sure you know which one it is before paying $90.00.

Could it possibly be just a clamp that holds one of the boost tube elbows? Thats what it sounds like to me.
