cruise control not working
I got battery acid on my battery on the drivers side i washed it off. Now my light works for my cruise but it does not set. I read the maual and it said there is a servo and facuum line that works the cruise under the battery box.It does not tell me if I can try and clean them or do I have to replace everything. :w:

Battery acid probably ate a hole in one of the vac lines. Just follow all the black tubing you can find in the area looking for cracks or holes. Doesn't take much and cruise control and vent controls are the first things to quite working.

I went outside and found the line that was ate up. Ishortened it by cutting off the bad part and pulled things a little closer to battery.pluged it in took test ride works great. When stores open I will get a new one from dealer thanks for your help. What do the vent controls do so i can make sure it does not have hole in it. Thanks so much love this site.

Vent controls work off the same type of lines that run along the firewall. If they go bad you will only have air in the defrost. They are designed to default to the defroster, for safety reasons, if they lose the vaccuum pressure.
