Previous Owner Plugged Wastegate Hose W/ A Scew?!?!?

As the title says, my wastegate line is plugged off.... Is this good, bad, ugly? Its a stock truck for the most part. Only deleted muffler, and a BHAF!

Should i leave it?

Wont that over-boost?

CumminsKid6 05-04-2009 08:45 PM

no it wont over boost cause the pump is still gonna stop fueling at its set limit. itll just build up maybe a few more pounds but not enought to hurt u cause u dont have injectores or anything like that or a programer.

cumminsman65 05-04-2009 09:30 PM

if i clamp my hose with visegrips ill gain bout 7-10 lbs of boost with my adrenaline i dont know what it gains stock didnt have a gauge then. but no its cool just a cheap mod.:U:

DieselWeasel 05-04-2009 10:58 PM

Thats cool. I was worried because i have no gauges or anything yet.

cumminskid92 05-11-2009 11:58 PM

definately put guages first on your to do list. they will save you alot of money in the long run

Gauges are a Must..... Atleast a Fuel Pressure and Pyro.

lol, i've used the wise-grips on such cars as the Hyundai Getz 1.5 CRTD rental i once had...

Also a 2.0 DOHC TD Suzuki Vitara my friend had...
