Default Blown head gasket???

My 02 with only 76000+ on the clock keeps pressurizing the cooling system and blowing coolant out of the over flow. Changed the rad cap but it still blows out. no oil in coolant or coolant in oil. Not low on power, fuel mileage is normal, does not get hot. Only 34lbs of boost, but my exhaust temps can hit 1500 real quick.

NO ideas??????

Do a " Block test " from napa, it's some little plastic tub with water in it that will change color if hydrocarbons are detected.

Sounds to me like water pump issue or a improper burping of the cooling system,
Try changing the thermostat and flushing the system while your doing all of that,

I've never heard of a headgasket issue on these 5.9's esp. with only 76k miles on it,

Let us know !

Your probably just Boiling the Coolant. I'd keep an eye on the Coolant Temps and my EGTS.

ya watch your water temp if it seems like its hotter than usual it could be athermostat issue. as far as headgasket problem it could be as well when mine was leaking the 3rd time it was just the lightest leak into the overflow bottle that you could faintly hear and sure enough

you have never herd of a headgasket issue on a 5.9l before? hell im on my 4th headgasket sence ive owned the truck. they blow easily on these trucks especially with an aftermarket turbo. them stock gaskets are only rated at 45psi and the older they are the less psi they can take

I meant under stock conditions, and he said he only had 76,000 miles on it,

But true, me being new to the diesel world i have not heard of many of them having issues, but hey. i'm still learning'
