IAT Sensor Before and After
2 Attachment(s)
Finally got around to cleaning my IAT.
BEFORE Attachment 52922 AFTER Attachment 52923 Think it needed cleaning? lol lol |
them exhaust brakes sure do dirty em up! I would clean at each oil change.
|
I'm going to clean it atleast at every oil change. Might just clean it once a month. Was going to clean my MAP Sensor but couldn't find my deep socket :argh:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Overhead POS has went up 4-5 mpg. I'll hand calculate it next time I refuel. |
What does this sensor do?:stupidme:
|
IAT-Intake Air Temp.
Has to do with the fuel mix, if it is dirty it wont read right and the result can be bad mileage |
I clean mine every 10k......looks just like that too, and when cleaned it idles like a purring kitten

Yes you do https://www.dieselbombers.com/12-val...t-diagram.html https://www.dieselbombers.com/24-val...at-sensor.html |
Throttle response has improved. I now notice that on my Pulse the IAT and Coolent Temp match at startup now.
