Ive got a 01 ctd ho 6 sp juice with attitude boost elbow bhaf exhaust silencer ring mia. ive got a 24 foot enclosed trailer i pull my race car in and was just wondering what the egts shouild be. Ive had the guages for a long time just never gave it a thought as to how high i should go. Today trailer empty i was pulling right at 1000 egts. i think the highest i have gotten was maybe 1150 but thats gettin up to speed. 60mph is about 1000- 1075. Is that normal or what should they be???

I assume this is a pre turbo reading.........if so this is excellent temps

the 01 with the 6 speed is the HO version and has piston dome cooling so temps up to 1250 F are fine all day long with short bursts over 2300 being OK too

i dont think ive ever seen them to 1400 let alone 2300. and yes pre turbo

who makes a pyro that reads up to 2300*?..that is crazy hot...i got a 2000* and i get scared if it starts heading towards 1700*...but, to the original question, as long as you are below 1250*, you are safe...soudns like your truck is running real good w/ those numbers you gave us:U:

those are excellent numbers, think 2300 ws a type o, my 01 six speed was hitting 1400 pulling my toy hauler on hills and would back it down to around 1200, but now that i ahve water/meth they are about 1250 under a hard pull.

I melted my number 6 piston with just the Edge/Attitude. A little over 1350* for about 1 minute.
