Default Sad Story

I would like to share a story wit you all, it makes me sick and its a waste. my dad has a 99 24 valve with an auto, and onley 140,000 he lost the vp44 in 2006 and has not drove the truck since! other than the pump, the truck was mint. now the rockers are starting to go and the thing looks homely, its been sitting in tall grass and look like it should go to the scrap yard. anyway, i would like to get the truck going for him so it doesnt go to complete waste, anyone got a good vp44 sorce, that i could get a good pump from that has the upgraded computor and not the stock one? PM me and let me know, help a cummins from ending up in the junk yard.

There is probably a lot more you should do before you start cranking on her. Good luck!

That is kind of sad... I've seen a few trucks around here that people have parked because the vP44 went out. I'm the only guy in the area that is willing to do the work but no one like the price of a VP44... So there the trucks still sit...

The price is definitely a limiting factor for most. The work is not hard at all. You just need to see with your finger tips.

To get it up and running, what about a low mile one? You know to save some money incase the seals have dried up and you have to replace them too.
