Hi guys

I have a cluster and overhead console problem in my Ram

Itīs a Ram 2500 diesel 2000 model year.

Some times the cluster and overhead console dont work and are compleatly out,no meters work and itīs say no bus in the odometer window.
Some times if I turn the key off and on itīs working and working for a few days but sometimes its not working few days and suddenly itīs working for many days.

i had the exact same problem a few months ago, i tried everything, eventually i found that it was cased by a loose fuse causing it to vibrate loose over a few days. i spliced in a new fuse holder, fixed the problem and it hasnt done it since, that was in september 08 till now.

 

 

No Bus means no cnnection to your PCM, could be a loose connection or could be something more serious, check all connectors especially at the PCM (computor behind the airbox on the firewall) and make sure nothings loose first.

I will check my fusebox and PCM connections again and hope that will do.

might double check the ground connection for the dash as well now that i think of it

 

Its all controlled by the CCd netwrok you might want to check this out then...
CCD Data Bus
