Cluster and overhead console problem
 

Hi guys

I have a cluster and overhead console problem in my Ram

It´s a Ram 2500 diesel 2000 model year.

Some times the cluster and overhead console dont work and are compleatly out,no meters work and it´s say no bus in the odometer window.
Some times if I turn the key off and on it´s working and working for a few days but sometimes its not working few days and suddenly it´s working for many days.

i had the exact same problem a few months ago, i tried everything, eventually i found that it was cased by a loose fuse causing it to vibrate loose over a few days. i spliced in a new fuse holder, fixed the problem and it hasnt done it since, that was in september 08 till now.

No Bus means no cnnection to your PCM, could be a loose connection or could be something more serious, check all connectors especially at the PCM (computor behind the airbox on the firewall) and make sure nothings loose first.

I will check my fusebox and PCM connections again and hope that will do.

might double check the ground connection for the dash as well now that i think of it:U:

Its all controlled by the CCd netwrok you might want to check this out then...
