running a powerstroke?
 

I've got a friend with a powerstroke that's like a 02. It lifted with 35 in. tires and some kind of add on box. He seems to think he wants some of my 01 dodge to stomp on.
I haven't rode in his truck but another friend said it's kind of a pooch. My 01 has 125 horse injectors,adrenaline with pulse and a he351 over a 3b on it and a decent tranny and billet 5 disk convertor.
I really think I can take him. What do you think?

I raced a fella with a 03 Powerstroke,he had a couple of boxes stacked,he was quick,I was quicker,that was back when I had a Edge/Attitude in my 01,and a NV5600.
(He broke his rear axle in the rematch)

My 01 pulls pretty decent with the twins. I'm holding it down around 55 lbs. of boost to try to keep the head on it. I haven't rode in or a drove any diesels that are anywhere near stock for so long I have forgot what they run like.
I'm going to play him along for awhile, won't be any money involved that just causes hard feelings.

x2 on putting money on that race...that really shouldnt be much of a match...those p-strokes take some money and effort to get them going fast...

i would have to say you will be taking the cake on this one...

:humm:i seriously think ud have him. my dad has a 98.5 dodge with 125 injectors and an adrenaline. stock turbo that ive seen push 50 pounds of boost. ( not good on stock turbo) and a rebuilt stock injection pump. with intake elbow ported. ive raced another cummins o5 and a vw and smoked the cummins that was double stacked and tranny work and hung with the vw. and there alot lighter than a qd cab long bed. so id think ud have it especially if its a 7.3

He's gone on the road right now,owner operator truck driver. It's hit and miss, we've been messing with each other for a year now. Brother-in-law's got a fish fry beer drinking coming up that would be a good time to nail him.
He might not come threw, he swore he could out run my old 97 I had with twin turbos but I never could get him pinned down. I'm going to work on him but we don't see each other but once a month maybe depending on my work and his swinging by home.
