I've never even heard of this, I knew it was possible on the 3rd gens but not the 2nd gen.... :humm:

Ok, heres what I found... DTRL come standard on Canadian trucks as it is a law up there. So how it got on your truck down here? :humm: Anyways they say you can push the ebrake pedal one click so the brake is not applied but the light is lit on the dash which disables the DTRL. Or you can simply unplug the module located on the drivers side inner fender, and they will no longer work, and headlamp operation is unaffected. You could also run a toggle switch from ground to the parking brake switch which will turn them off when you wish so you don't have to push the pedal (although the brake light will stay on). Hope this helps.... :ok1:

Right it doesn't matter where the truck was made, just where it was going to end up like Canada wheres its a law to have that option. :pca1: Welcome to DieselBombers by the way!

That's odd...I didn't think any trucks had DRL's in the US.

Attachment 54364

So its looks to be just as simple as a jumper - this is on a 97.
