Bad Injectors? Bad Turbo?
Alright well I have no idea what is going on with the truck. If I let of the gas and then press it back down, I can put it all the way to the floor, no smoke at all, and no turbo boost building then all of a sudden its like someone clicked a switch and it builds boost right away. I can hear the turbo whistling but I am sure that is just because the truck is gaining speed. At a stop sign, I can put it all the way to the floor, and it hardly moves and jolts back and forth a little bit. Sometimes it takes me 4 or 5 times pressing it to the floor, letting off, and doing it again to get it to build boost at all!!!!
There is no white smoke at all so I am guessing it would not be injectors?
Any help is great! IT JUST STARTED DOING THIS tonight right after I filled up with a tank of fuel. Maybe its the diesel fuel? I am not sure

Do you have guages? its time to break out the scanner and see what it says.

I have the edge for gauges. Fuel pressure stays right at 15-17 with the FASS..have been about 6 months since I last changed the filters though. Just replaced the VP44 about 5 months ago. I am hoping it is the APPS but we will see if it does it again today. Could also be bad fuel..

Let find out what the good ol ' ECM/PCM has to say...Lets check for error codes...
OBD II Error Codes

Now fuel pressure is a big thing for 24V VP44 truck you got to make sure the pump is kept happy with pressure over 10 PSI at all times...

Then as for APPS problems when a APPS sensor fails 99% of the time it will drop a P0121, P0122, or P0123 error code. At this point you could try a reset.
ECM & APPS Calibration
Disconnect the batteries and leave disconnected for at least 30 minutes. Now reconnect the batteries.
Turn key to ON position. Without starting engine, slowly press throttle pedal to floor and then slowly release. This step must be done (one time) to ensure accelerator pedal position sensor calibration has been learned by ECM. If not done, possible DTC’s may be set.
But if that doesn't work here is a cheaper replacement APPS other than factory...
Alternate APPS
So start diagnosing the problem...

I will try and see if I can get the codes..that would help a lot!
Fuel pressure is between 15-17 all the time..and with the new VP44...it should be very happy..

Your Edge box could be shot or you could have a failed MAP or a bad injection pump.
Start by completely disconnecting the Edge. If the driveability is fixed, the code goes away, it's the box. If the code still shows, try bumming a known good MAP off a buddy and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't, it is most likely a dying VP. Dead peddle and MAP codes are often present under these conditions.
