A problem you may encounter is that the spring holding the waste gate closed will not be strong enough to keep it closed.
On my 03 (stock turbo) it will easily maintain 24-26 psi at full load, but if I pinch off the line and thus keep the wastegate from seeing ANY pressure, it will automatically blow open at about 30-31 psi.
If this happens to you, then use a throttle linkage spring and attach it to the lever on the wastegate mechanism at the turbo and it will provide a bit more closing force and maybe do what you want. Keep in mind the turbos can spin up to 200,000 RPM!!! and on occassion fly apart. Be aware that what you're doing has a lot of risks, but I routinely hit 34 psi with my stock turbo and as of this date dont have any problems. It's been that way now for over a year.

Do what you want but take care and be careful.:5:

Yeap stock turbos are rated up to 35 PSI as a usable pressure... Beyond that the air becomes a hot charge. Like myself with a Edge Comp on 5x5 I can see 34-35 PSI already...:w2:

Like DM suggested it might be time for a bigger charger...
