ebay truck. What do you think?

Well id just like to start off by saying that im both new to this forums and cummins. I love learning about trucks in general and i am currently looking for a new ride which is why i joined . I currently own an 05 f350 w/custom tunes, 4" turboback exhaust, afe stage 2 intake, and studded but my dad has offered to buy it from me as he really loves the truck so im off on a search to find something different that is a manual. Ive been looking at either another psd or a cummins as i know 2 different people with 24vs and they seem to be pretty stout trucks. As i said i know nothing really about the cummins in general except its reputation and so i am just starting to research them.

Alright well anyways so on my search for a truck my buddy ran across this one for sale on ebay. Sorry i dont know how to post links. It seems to be in great shape and i think i could get it for a little lower than hes asking. I just need to find out how much the computer is going to run me. Thanks ahead of time for any help yall can provide.

15k for a truck with an electrical gremlin :humm: I'd be darn sure that all the truck needs is a ecm. I'd talk to the seller about it for sure b4 you bid or buy. Welcome to Diesel Bombers too!

Sharp truck to be sure but in today's market it seems awful high priced for a truck that has to be trailered home. I would also want to know alot more about what happened to the computer with all those mods he has on there already. looks risky in my world. For that price you can buy these trucks ready to roll. Just an opinion though.

I don't like the sounds of that ad. Not enough details about the electrical problem, but "will need to be trailered" and "as is" are not good signs. Also why on earth would anyone with that much money in mods be selling a truck without fixing a supposedly minor electrical problem.

I'd talk to the guy on the phone and ask him what's going on and how he knows it's the computer (and which one) etc. etc.

With all these mods it's a safe bet he spends some time on these forms. Find out which one and what his name is then you can find the history of the truck right here on line.

where are you located so we might find a better deal closer to you?

I live in Chesapeake, VA so that truck was quite a ways away but im willing to drive a good distance if i can find a good truck thats worth the money.

if ya win it have a computer with you and put it on right there before you give him the money that way you know if that was the problem. jmo good luck

If it was me I would buy one for half the price thats in better shape and all stock and then do the mods, you'd probably be money ahead and have a truck that you're more familiar with....Good Luck
